Editorial policy

Content is written for general education. Authors are listed as the InsureGuide Editorial Team. We do not invent professional licenses, designations, or years of claims-handling experience.

Research starts with primary sources when a topic is state-specific or statutory: state insurance department consumer pages, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) consumer materials, federal health coverage publications, and the policy forms people actually receive. Secondary explainers are used only as orientation, not as proof of a statistic we do not display.

Insurance rules change. Articles include “updated” dates. An update means we reviewed the page for clarity and obvious stale statements; it is not a promise that every sentence reflects the newest regulation in every state. Readers should verify information with insurers, regulators, and current plan or policy documents.

Calculators are documented on each tool page. Coefficients are educational placeholders. We will not present them as “average U.S. premiums” or as a particular company’s rates.

Corrections: email editorial@insureguide.example with the page URL, the wording you believe is wrong, and a source. We will review material errors. We do not accept paid rankings or advertorials disguised as guides.
